Smiles

 Entry #6

Smiles

When it comes to smiles, all are beautiful in their own unique way. Whether they have dimples, braces, gummy smiles, toothy smiles, gap teeth, or even missing ones, they are all beautiful as a sign of happiness. I am often delighted to see smiles no matter how they look because smiles usually mean happiness. Being happy and showing a smile, whether closed or a happy toothy grin, makes me so happy. How do smiles make you feel?

On my bad days, when someone smiles at me or compliments me with a smile, I end up smiling and happy right after. I've had many cases where I have had a terrible or lousy day, and a smile can go a long way for me. I have always thought everyone deserves to see a smile and smile from a young age because it is so special. A smile can make grumpy or seemingly unapproachable people much less scary, giving more room for people to become friends. Most of the time, all people need is kindness and sincerity. Smiles that you can tell are sincere can make you feel all fuzzy inside, and they'll give you the want to smile yourself.

I smile a lot, especially at random people at the store, on the street, in school, in church, and anywhere people inhabit. Now I know what you're probably thinking, "But doesn't that seem fake or too happy? Doesn't that hurt, you know, smiling all day?" Well, yes, my mouth does get a little sore, and sometimes, I do not feel like smiling all day. But I make sure that when I smile, they are sincere, and being happy is something that I like feeling. Smiles eventually make me feel better no matter the day.

On another note, I know many people who only smile at people they are close with. Maybe they do not like their smile, don't feel like it, or don't like to. Most people have a reason to smile, so I'm curious to learn what makes you smile daily. Or do you prefer not to smile? Anyway, thank you for reading!

  1. Your four new entries look great, Kaylee. Your writing flows well, and you have personality in your writing. Good visual appeal with images and layout. You are developing your content pretty well and working the concepts of rhetoric to connect to your audience and keep them engaged. Keep digging and connecting!
