My Take on Blogs

Golden Doodles and Training

Entry #0

Blogs are a great way to share information personally, casually, and professionally. They allow people to share their thoughts and communicate with others who share interests or opinions. Blogs help acquire information effectively and efficiently. I will discuss two blogs that share the same information about training golden doodles. I shall also share which one I found easier to read and which got straight to the point.

The first blog is by Our Doodle Life, and this blogger has a more personal touch with affiliates to help train a Golden Doodle puppy. Their purpose is to help new or less experienced owners with new puppies. I like that this one has a more personal touch because I can relate with what they say and recommend, as the blog focuses on the bloggers' trial and error training their puppy. Along with the format and overall casual voice, this blog has pictures separating the different topics, subheadings, videos, and short detailed paragraphs to help readers understand what is being explained quickly. I did not like how they organized some of the information; it could have used more pictures to help the reader understand what to do when training a puppy.

Pride and Prejudoodles wrote the second blog I reviewed. They are an experienced business that gives quality recommendations to people who will buy their puppies or who have just brought one to their home. They use pictures, subheadings, and many bullet points to get straight to the point. They used slightly longer paragraphs to give as much information as possible and used a casual writing tone with their readers. Since the business trains the puppies themselves, they are a good source of information to help guide the owners with their new puppy. I would have preferred the text to be slightly shorter as I do not particularly enjoy reading long informational texts and like more straightforward and quick information.

Both texts gave excellent information, but I preferred the one by Our Doodle Life as it was simple and easy to relate to and read. It got straight to the point and wasted no time discussing what worked best for the owner/blogger and what would generally work for any owner. I hope you enjoyed this read. What blog may be best for you?

  1. I've been finding that the simplicity of a blog has been a common ground for a lot of readers. It seems that simple blogs are able to better deliver information than those who overcomplicate the formatting as it causes frustration. Love your images!

  2. I loved the visuals you have provided in your post. I found through looking at the list of blogs that were provided the simpler blogs have become more common. The simplicity allows for readers to take in information compared to those who over complicate there attempts at outreach.
